È una piccola città (120.000 abbitanti) e questa piazza è vicina alla mia casa (è una piazza nel centro di Mataró). Ora in primavera è molto agradabile sopratutto la domenica perchè la gente con tutta tranquilittà parla con amici, legge il giornale, etc. Sono felice che ti hai piaciuto! A rivederci!!

La Frutta e La Verdura Biologiche

In Italia, che percentuale della verdura e la frutta e coltivata con concimi chimici?

Vorrei sapere piu sul uso di concimi chimici in Italia. Negli Stati Uniti, e un problema grande. Preferisco comprare la frutta e la verdure biologiche, ma non posso sempre perche e piu care. Pero ho un cosiglio qui, si comprano frutta e verdura negli Stati Uniti.

My 1st Life

In my professional life, I work as in instructional designer at a university in the United States. I I provide faculty development and technical support for instructors who teach online.

In a past life, I was a foreign language instructor. I taught both Spanish and ESL. I enjoy foreign language studies, and I am currently studying Italian. I speak English, Spanish, and some French. When I was a university student, I lived in Spain for two years.

Italian has special meaning for me because I will travel to Italy in 2009 to visit the ancestral village of my grandfather. I never met my grandfather. He died many years before I was born. None of my family members had a lot of information about him since he died young. I only knew that he was "calabrese" thanks to my mother. She used to say, "Your grandfather was from Calabria. Your grandma was from Sicily."

Thanks to the documents at EllisIsland.org, I was able to track down my grandfather and locate the town where he was born. It has been a three year journey to discover his identity. Now in October 2009, I will travel to the small town of Curinga, CZ to understand the life of my nonno, Elias Carmelo Orlando.
